Powder Coating
Powder Coating is a dry finishing process created by an electric charge that causes a dry powder to fuse to the surface of the metal. This is then baked in our curing oven to achieve a hard coating. Creating a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint. Powder coated products are more resistant to corrosion such as moisture, chemicals, ultraviolet light, and other extreme weather conditions which is perfect for our Alaska environment.
This method creates a protective barrier, so the metal remains rust-free. We prepare the powder coat properly to form a thick waterproof barrier, thus giving better resistance to corrosion. Solvents are not used; therefore, powder coating is generally considered more environmentally friendly.
